Melody has strep. I told the doctor to check out Melody while I was there yesterday, but she would not. So of course we had to spend another two and a half hours at the doctors today. I am nearly positive Bethany has strep as well, that it was a faulty result. Thank you Joe for getting Melody an appt online last night in the wee hours of the morning. When the girls are feeling better, I will have to go back to the tricare office and try and hash out why I can't make an appt. I will not let them send me home again with "everything should work" well.... it does not!! Sorry, I need to vent. I have had a rough day. Melody cried the entire day while Bethany was off and on. She was either being way cute or screaming because she hurt. I could not get either one of them to eat anything. They would not even drink their milk. And you know Bethany would drink milk all day if she could. I tried to give them yogurt, ice cream, chocolate milk, ice cream shakes... nothing. I felt so bad because Melody would sign please eat... then when I tried to give her anything she would turn her head away. Bethany wanted a cracker at one point. She took a small nibble, spit it out of her mouth and said hurt. Hopefully with them both on antibiotics, tomorrow will be a better day.
I did get to bed by 9pm last night only to be woken up at 9:15. Ahhhhhh! Then again at 10, 12:30 (Melody was screaming in pain for this one. I checked her temp and it was 101.4 so I gave her some Tylenol, let her lay down with me for a little bit, then put her in the guest room so she would not wake up Bethany.) they woke up several more times last night. I can't take much more of these sleepless nights. I was not even able to get a good nap when they napped. They took turns waking up and needing mommy.
