Here is a clip of our little bug chasers.

The girls wanted the be pretty and wear there skirts.

Our neighbor returned home from open heart surgery today. Someone lined his driveway with balloons. The girls noticed right off and went nuts trying to see them. They really wanted one.

keyboard fun

Another day at the doctors. Bethany in fact is allergic to amoxicillin. There are not too many pictures since we spent most of the morning at the doctors and then after we got home, they took a three hour nap. I loved that part!

They had some leftover pudding from when they had strep. They didn't really want it last week when thier throats hurt, but today they gobbled it down.

Their favorite place to sit at the moment is on top of the couch. Every once in a while they will slide down and say "weee".

Ok... this is a really cute clip of them playing the keyboard:

allergic reaction?

So, just when I thought I was done going to the doctors office for a while, Bethany broke out all over her body. They didn't have any appts for today (The irony of it, I had appts for them today but I canceled them last week because I knew they didn't gain any weight-- they were going to see if they gained any weight in the last month, but since they had strep, I said why bother) So, we are going in tomorrow in the morning. Bethany looks pretty bad, but she has no face swelling, no fever, and is acting fine so they said I don't have to go to the er that I can wait until the morning. I really did not want to go to the er.  My home teachers came over and gave Bethany a blessing tonight. Here are some pictures. You can tell that she did get worse throughout the day. I thought at first it might be the hand foot and mouth disease, but when I called them and asked if it was suppose to be on her trunk, they said no.

up down round and round

The biggest thing the girls learned today was how to climb up on top of the couch and flip the light switch up and down to make the fan go round and round. I have a clip and pictures of this near the end of the post.
We spent the day at home.... again. I think the girls are getting tired of me. We started out the day playing on mommy and daddy's bed. They have learned to climb up onto our bed now. They climb up on a pillow next to the bed and pull themselves up the rest of the way.
We played ring around the rosies again. They would have me sing that all day. Here is a clip:
Here is Melody being a goof trying to blow up 2 balls, a car and lily.

For dinner we made pizza. I didn't get any snap shots, but here is a clip:

The girls always find themselves back on our bed.
Here are some clips of them turning on and off the lights.

Bethany figured out how to reach the light switch. Of course once Melody saw, she jumped right in. I could tell Bethany to stop and she would. Melody on the other hand kept trying to crawl across the top of the couch to get to the switch. I was sitting on the far side of the couch so the only way for her to get to the switch was to crawl across the top..... Melody did... over and over. It became a game to her until I threatened time out.

Melody's blisters are starting to fade

I am so glad that both the girls have a very mild case of hand foot and mouth disease. They have a couple of blisters here and there, but nothing like some of the pictures I have seen on the Internet. A friend or ours at church said her boy had blisters so bad in his mouth that he would not eat for days.

Here is Melody's hand. She really only has a few red bumps here and there. You can barely see it in this picture.

Bethany found that she can fit behind the couch and sit on the window ledge.

She then covers herself with the curtain so you have no idea she is back there.

Joe comes home in less than a week so I have been trying to clean the house room by room. The girls mess up the house room by room. Here is a clip.

I accidentally left my purse to close to the edge of the counter. They took advantage of that. Here is a clip:

While I was washing the dishes, I had on yellow rubber gloves. The girls wanted to wear gloves as well. They are smart enough to know where to find some for them to wear. Here is a clip:

This is a blister that is on Melody's foot. It looks a little painful, but it doesn't seem to bug her overly much.

Melody has a few small blisters on the bottom of her foot.

You can see here that her blisters around her mouth are starting to fade!!!

Bethany has only a couple of red bumps at the corner of her mouth.

Here is a clip of Melody shrugging her shoulders. I could only get her to do it for the camera once. She started to shrug her shoulders on her own tonight.

First Breakfast served at 4am

Bethany woke up screaming at 4am. When I asked her what she wants, she said "eat". I guess after all these days of not eating very much, she was starving. Melody joined us of course. Melody slept in my bed most of the night. I think she is not feeling well because of the hand foot and mouth disease. I think Bethany has it. It is really hard to tell since she has only a few bumps and one blister. Hopefully that is all she will get and she just has a very mild case of it. The girls had tons of energy. I really don't know how they get that much energy if they get up at 4am. Thankfully they went back to sleep for two more hours.
Here are some pictures taken through the day. There should be more, but I was feeling so lethargic today.

Here is a clip of Melody cleaning her chin with the spoon after it dripped out of her mouth while feeding herself cereal.

Yesterday and today the girls have been putting their swim suits over their shorts.

Here is a clip of Melody searching for the mosquito that kept trying to get them.
Bethany drawing happy. Joe, I guess you can see some of the garage in here.

Snack time. I cut out pieces of bread with a heart shape cookie cutter.

For lunch we had spaghetti o's Bethany did not want to eat any. So instead she smeared it all over.

The relief society pres. heard about the girls so she was so sweet to swing by with some groceries. She brought the girls some fruit pops. They loved them!
Here is a clip:

here are a couple of pictures of Bethany's foot. She has a blister on her toe:
Can you see the red bump near the bottom of the pad of her big toe.

She also has a tiny bump on the side of her mouth, but she would not hold still for a picture.
Melody has it worse than Bethany, but still very mild compared to most cases. She does have bumps all up her legs, around her ankles, mouth, hands and bottom but no big blisters except for the ones around her mouth. Bethany might have a blister or two in her mouth since it was very hard to get her to eat most of the day... except for breakfast at 4am.
