The first day can be the hardest.

The girls definitely know that something is not the same. Both girls have been looking out the window and asking for Daddy several times today. We count the days to be with Daddy again.
Nothing is safe anymore in the house. Melody climbed into the computer chair yesterday to get to the "colors"  They are also pushing stuff up against things so they can have a step stool.
In the evening yesterday we spent some time outside with the hose. The girls loved putting their hands up to the stream and have their hands pushed back by the force of the water.

I have been trying to clean up this house. The girls are not the best helpers. Here they are taking out pans while I am trying to clean the kitchen.

I swept up the sun room and had a left a pile of saw dust for just a minute while I ran inside to get the dust pan. They decided to pick up a handful and dump it in the living room.

Bethany was having a grand time taking the balls out of the bread pan (don't ask why they are in a bread pan) and throwing them behind her. She didn't even look to see where they were going.

I figured we would be safer cleaning the fourth bed room.
Melody made herself right at home in my reading chair.

Today...we started the day going to lowes. We were in the store only a few minutes (funny how fast you can be in there when Joe is not browsing for tools and such) they did not have anything to attach to the sensor on the outdoor lights.
We then went to my Physical Therapy appt. Both girls were very clingy and wanted mommy. They both ended up playing on me while I was getting my foot worked on.
I set up the girls table in the kitchen. I was tired of having it in our bedroom. Melody immediately drug the chairs back to our room. The little stinker. It might take a few days before they stay around the general area of the kitchen. Melody wanted to be a big girl and eat lunch at the table. I don't think that is going to happen again for a while. She kept getting up and touching everything with her dirty fingers.

I tried to put the fountain back together with that gunky stuff. It is in too many pieces. I will seal what we have and one day down the road we might look into getting a new fountain. Until then, we don't have to have water in it. It can be a slightly broken decoration.
The girls had ravioli tonight. Melody rubbed it all in her hair. Bath time tonight!
I wish I would have had the camera handy to take a picture of them kissing you on the computer screen tonight. I will have to make sure I have it tomorrow. Does 7:30 our time seem like a good time for a nightly chat? Until tomorrow. I love you.
