feeding the grass

The girls definitely felt better today. They still had some of the gunk, but they were a lot more active and less cranky. First thing after we woke up and ate (before 6:00am) we went outside to do yard work since it was still very nice outside. I transferred the mulch from the crepe mertal area and put it down near that white bush you pruned. I then had just enough of the mulch left over from the back to cover the one area I stripped. Since we had some grass seed left over I took the bag to the front and with the girls help, we spread it around some of the bare areas.

The flower that was between the azaleas in the front bloomed. They were some pretty tiger lillies, I cut of the flower and put it in the kitchen. I will have to more the plant later. It does not go there.

Bethany kept taking a book from Melody today. I told her no, that was Melody's to read, so she sat in Melody's lap to have the book read to her.
Today was laundry day. I figured it was time to wash Pooh and Tigger. The girls got a kick out of watching them spin round and round.

We spent some time looking at scrapbook pages with Joe's pictures in them. The girls had a blast picking out their daddy in a crowd of people. They even picked me out a few times.

We ran and did some errands, when we came back, Melody grabbed one of Joe's sponges and sat on it. I have no idea why...

I was pulling out stuff from the guest room to get ready to put up in the attic for storage since Joe's dad had planned on coming out. The girls saw their old chairs and wanted them. They drug them everywhere today and I was still amazed that they could still fit in them.

Bethany had her teddy and baby kiss. I guess they miss seeing Joe and I kiss so their stuffed animals will have to due for now.
They made a big mess with their yogurt tonight. I got distracted with a phone call. They were spreading it all over their arms and trays and rubbing it between their hands.

They have figured out a way to reach farther back on the counter......

  1. Looks like it didn't post my comment from last night. Love M's mischievous grin rubbing her hands with yogurt. I can't believe how tall they're getting - especially the picture of Bethany reclining in her chair.
    Great pics.
    Love,
    Joe
